What’s the Deal?

A practical, thoughtful, and holistic approach to addiction & recovery. The program is  to complement existing therapeutic modalities and 12-step programs, recognizing the importance of a multifaceted approach to recovery

. Chi Sanctuary is open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or affected by the addictive behavior of others.

Low-Down

  • Open and close each session as a group

Group

  • Group Support & Accountability: Meet-ups begin and end as a group, fostering a powerful sense of unity and support.

  • Choice in Participation: Individuals have the freedom to choose how they wish to engage during the meet-ups, promoting a personalized and comfortable experience.

  • Communication Tools: Participants learn tools to support conscious and healthy communication

Mental & Emotional

  • Therapeutic exercises focus on emotional and mental well-being, incorporating practices such as Mindfulness, breath work, and somatic experiencing.

  • Mindful exercises explore the connection between nutrition and emotional well-being, addressing the importance of a holistic approach to recovery.

Physical

  • Physical Well-being: The facility provides full gym access on 4th Fridays, emphasizing physical strength and flexibility as integral components of the recovery journey.

  • We will also explore other movement modalities for those who are interested such as yoga, boxing, aerial fitness & tai chi.

Who’s facilitating?

Susan Mendoza is the Owner and Co-founder of Chi Hive Gym and Wellness. A seasoned wellness professional, Susan holds certifications as a Yoga , Pilates and Aerial Fitness Teacher, Ayurvedic Health and Wellness Coach, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, Reiki Practitioner Levels 1 & 2. She is also a certified Roll Model® Method Practitioner , and holds a certificate in Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies.

Additionally, Susan is a certified facilitator for Yoga 12 Step Recovery for Addiction and Trauma Recovery, and is a Certified Little Flower Yoga Teacher for 'Yoga and Mindfulness Tools for Children and Adolescents' (Levels 1, 2, 3, plus training in Trauma Informed Teaching and Navigating Anxiety)
